ΈA very interesting slide escaped a closed GIGABYTE event that reveals that the third generation Ryzen may be announced at Computex in June 2019. The new platform will support AMD processors based on the Zen 2 architecture codenamed "Matisse" , as well as the chipset that will receive them, the AMD X570.
The new platform is the first to be expected to support PCI-Express gen 4.0, while it will continue to be compatible with older 300 and 400 series models. The leap in PCIe 4.0 is quite large, as the active standard has existed since 2010, with the new generation promising double bandwidth performance on both graphics cards and SSDs. There are also rumors that the upcoming Navi will be the first card to support PCIe 4.0, which will be released around the same time.
