In the framework of the anniversary of 20 years of the COSMOTE Scholarship Program, twenty fellows gained valuable work experience through their paid internships at OTE Group
The active students, had the opportunity to enrich their knowledge on new technologies, working in various sectors of the Group, such as IT Innovation Center, Network Management Center, IT Security, ICT etc. In a special welcome event to the company, the scholars discussed and shared their dreams and concerns for the future, with the President and CEO of OTE Group, Mr. Michalis Tsamaz, while the Chief Human Resources Officer of the OTE Group, Ms. Elena Papadopoulou, gave them useful advice for their future careers.
After completing the internship, all of the COSMOTE fellows stated that they were very to very satisfied with the work environment, and their level of satisfaction with their overall experience exceeded 93%. Also, over the 90% would recommend OTE Group for an internship.
The call for internships was for fellows who are still studying and aimed to further strengthen their work experience. The twenty scholars who did internships were selected through an interview process carried out by the HR team of the OTE Group. Participating scholars chose the subject of their preference, which was relevant to the subject of their studies, and then they were divided into total 16 different departments in Athens and the region.
There they had the opportunity to participate in demanding projects, receiving detailed feedback on their results.
In addition to the valuable work experience in the modern and dynamic working environment of the OTE Group and the development of digital skills, the participants took part in a workshop, receiving useful advice on the interview process, in the context of the job search, as well as on the correct completion of CVs and of their LinkedIn profiles.
COSMOTE Scholarship Program
The COSMOTE Scholarship Program, for more than two decades, contributes to the support of first-year students, who have been admitted to specific faculties of Higher Education Universities throughout Greece and face social & financial difficulties, throughout their studies. To date, they have been awarded in total 754 Scholarships to first-year students, whose value exceeds 7 million.
