It was revealed today that some very interesting new features and capabilities will soon be available in the camera app in MIUI

Tο MIUI of Xiaomi is one of the most popular Android Skin that exist to this day, which is enriched with many special features and capabilities that you will not find anywhere else.

Now h Xiaomi looks like it will enhance the camera app on MIUI, with several new features that will gradually become available on many devices during the next update.

One of the translators at Xiaomi.eu - The Kacper Skrzypek discover inside the recent code MIUI ROM, some very interesting new features that will soon be available in its application MIUI Room.

Let's see below the new features that the camera will receive:

  • New lighting effects on the front camera :
We will now be able to choose one of them five different types of illumination of our face in Selfie photos, as this new feature will only be available on the front Selfie camera. The options available will allow us to choose between blue, purple, yellow, orange and (possibly) white light. Obviously the screen will light up with the color we choose when the shutter button is pressed in the camera app, but as pointed out by Kacper Skrzypek, this feature may not be available for all markets.
  • Compact Mirror :
Another of the new features found in MIUI will be called “Compact mirror". To use this feature, we will have to look at the camera and double tap the screen. Then the device it will zoom in on our face and it will on our face and specifically our eyes. Of course, the option will only work when there is a person in the photo frame. The mirror image that will be presented on the screen will move in the same direction that our eyes are looking.

  • Xiaomi ProCut :
This feature is all about use of smart cropping of photos taken in high resolution in order to improve their composition. It does not support photos using the HEIF format, and watermarks will not appear on photos processed in this way.According to Kacper Skrzypek, codenamed devices will have this special camera feature ruby, rubypro and rubyplus, the Redmi K50 Ultra recently released (fingering), but also its clone that will be released on the global market as Xiaomi 12t pro (ditingp)
  • teleprompter :
This new feature is all about videos, and will allow you to scroll through previously saved text while shooting a video with your smartphone camera. It will also be possible to speed up or slow down the scrolling of the text, which can imported from Word files (.doc, .docx) or from a simple txt text file. This feature only supports text and will not be able to insert graphs or tables. The text we enter can be up to 6000 characters

So far, no one has tested these new features and we are not sure which devices (other than those listed above) will become available. It is very likely that only Xiaomi's flagship devices will receive these new functions in the camera application, but it is possible that Xiaomi will later make them available to other mid-range devices.
