The first foldable smartphone, that of Samsung, is likely to be released in the first quarter of 2019 and Apple, which obviously does not want to remain in the shadow of the South Korean competitor, has patented the new technology that allows it to create such mobile devices. According to journalists, the first patents of Apple's flexible devices began to appear in March 2018, while for now, the company's goal is to create a completely different technology from the one that Samsung introduced in November and it will be a gadget that can be used as both a smartphone and a tablet.
It will be equipped with an OLED screen, while its coating is made of special polymeric materials that return the rotation and bending of the screen, so as not to cause cracks or scratches.
