Apple: The release of the first CPUs with Arm architecture is rumored on November 17

Apple seems to be ready to use its own Apple processors with architecture Arm.

Νearlier this year, Apple announced its intention to move away from processors based on architecture x86-64 to use her own Apple processors architecture Arm.

The company said that the first Macs with such technology will arrive by the end of 2020, which would start a two-year transition process for the entire Mac family. According to information, it seems that the time for the transition has arrived.

Speaking of the upcoming release of the iPhone 12, the Mark Gurman of Bloomberg put in a single sentence the information that sets in motion what Apple has planned: “Apple's first Mac processor laptop, among other products, will appear in another release in November."

Apple-powered MacBooks have sparked strong interest from the company's customers, as well as Apple claims that processors will offer the best data from both worlds compared to older x86-64 machines. They are supposed to offer superior performance, while at the same time they will offer unparalleled energy management thanks to the use of integration technology 5nm.

The first Apple processors intended for Mac are expected to based on the A14 Bionic used in the 4th generation iPad Air and the upcoming family iPhone 12 (or the A14X Bionic rumored for the next generation iPad Pro). In its current configuration, the A14 Bionic has a total of 6 cores: 2 high-performance cores and 4 energy-efficient cores. However, for macbooks, Apple processors will have a total of 12 cores (4 high-performance cores, 8 power cores).

Η Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has focused on the performance of the A-Series SoCs in recent years, with iPhones and iPads easily surpassing the corresponding Android of the same period. However, it remains to be seen if Apple can implement the same mobile "magic" in its laptops and desktops. It will be very interesting to know what the performance level of these Apple processors will be when code is run in Rosetta x86-64 simulation, although the first benchmarks were promising even using the old A12Z chips with the Developer Transition Kit.

The latest rumors have shown that revival of 12-inch MacBook will be the first device to come with an Apple processor. The device, which will weigh about 0,9 kg, is rumored to have a battery life of between 15 and 20 hours compared to the 19 hours for the EOL version with x86-64 processor.

As a confirmation of the above release date, the well-known Leakster Jon prosser posted the following post on twitter:
