AOC: Four new gaming screens with 165Hz and 1500R curvature have been announced!

The specialized display company AOC adds four new curved screens to G2 gaming series which has been much appreciated.

ΠThese are two models 60,5 cm (23,8 ”) C24G2AE and C24G2U as well as two models 68,6 cm (27 ”) C27G2AE and C27G2U.

All four new screens feature Full HD VA panel with an aggressive curvature 1500R, AMD FreeSync Premium support, refresh rate 165 Hz, 1 ms motion picture response time (MPRT) and built-in speakers (2 × 2 W). The "AE" models are ideal for gamers looking for an economical version, without additional features, with a reclining base, while the "U" models include a height-adjustable base and one usb3.2 hub with four USB ports for increased ergonomics and flexibility.

In front from the curve

Η G2 series AOC quickly became the first gaming screen choice for many gamers since its release last fall, thanks to its attractive price and balanced specifications. Now, the line becomes even more complete, offering four new curved models with a refresh rate of 165Hz.

All models offer thin frames with subtle red touches, resulting in one modern tool in the office of every gamer. The screens are equipped with high contrast (3000: 1 native contrast for the 24 ”models and 4000: 1 for the 27” models) VA panels. The combination of vibrant colors, high refresh rate and curvature in 1500R lead to a great immersion of players even deeper into the game world.

The 178/178 ° viewing angles of screens ensure that color change and contrast from oblique angles are as low as possible. In addition, when used to set up multiple screens, the thin frames of the screens and their curvature help to create a seamless, extremely wide combination, ideal for racing games or simulation.

High speed panels for extremely fast reflexes

The gaming screens 144 Hz became the new data for most gamers a few years ago. The new AOC models go one step further, offering a refresh rate of 165 Hz. With Full HD native resolution, gamers will not need the best graphics cards to achieve 165 frames per second in most games.

Support AMD FreeSync Premium uses technology variable rate of renewal to match the GPU frame rate to the panel frame rate, thus eliminating tearing, stuttering, or any other delay caused by V-Sync. All four new models, whether 24's or 27's, feature MBR (Motion Blur Reduction), reducing the response time to just 1 ms MPRT (animation response time).

Thanks to the function low entry delay (Low Input Lag mode) on all models, user actions will be rendered on the screen without any charge or delay.

Flexible choices

The 24 ”C24G2U and 27” C27G2U come with small but significant additions that will appreciate definitely the gamers. Both models are equipped with a height-adjustable base, with additional tilt and rotation adjustments so that users can adjust them to the optimal seating position for ergonomic posture during long gaming sessions.

The four USB 3.2 USB hub ports allow easy connection to USB peripherals, including keyboard, mouse and headset, as well as high-speed data transfer. (up to 20 Gbps).

However, not every gamer is interested in these extra features. Some just appreciate having a good panel, especially if they also use an auxiliary cradle such as the AOC AD110D0 dual display arm. The 24 ”C24G2AE and the 27” C27G2AE target exactly this audience, who prefer the idea of “a high quality panel at the best price” over anything else.

Quick Assembly ensures easy assembly and disassembly without a screwdriver - and can be integrated into a VESA mount mount using the 100mm x100mm VESA holes.

All four models have physical buttons in the lower right corner of the screen, as well as G-Menu software that controls the OSD settings. OSD settings are complete and include gaming-specific features: six gaming presets (three of which are user-friendly), Dial Point (a virtual crosshair that contributes to the target), Game Color (to adjust the color saturation for better image sharpness) and more.

In addition, the screens are Flicker-Free and feature Low Blue Mode to ensure a comfortable viewing experience and minimize eye strain.

The screens C24G2AE, C27G2AE, C24G2U and C27G2U of the AOC will be available in September 2020 at € 199, € 269, € 219 and €289, Respectively.
