Η AMD at today's event held in the USA, presented the news Ryzen 7000 series of its processors, which will be made available from 27 Σεπτεμβρίου

Η AMD announced the series today Ryzen 7000 of its consumer desktop processors, which are based on the new AM5 platform and the new architecture Zen 4.

The new CPUs significantly improve performance over the previous generation of the series Ryze 5000, but they also present new cutting-edge features such as DDR5 RAM memories and PCIe Gen 5.

The four CPUs announced today are the 7950X, 7900X, 7700X and 7600X. These CPUs have a similar number of cores and threads compared to their previous series processors Ryzen 5000, but with some price changes.

At the top of the performances is the Ryzen 9 7950X, a processor 16 cores, 32 threads with possibility Boost of frequency up to and including 5,7 GHz and with basic clock at 4,2 GHz. It has 80MB of total cache capacity and has TDP at 170W. Its price is at $ 699, meaning it's $100 cheaper than the 5950X's starting price.

The following follows Ryzen 9 7900X with 12 cores and 24 threads, with boost clock at 5,6 GHz and basic clock at 4,7 GHz. It has 76MB of total cache memory and TDP 170W. Its price is at $ 549, which is the same as the starting price of the 5900X.

The third model in the series is the Ryzen 7 7700X 8 cores and 16 threads which has boost clock at 5,4 GHz and base clock at 4,5 GHz. It has total cache capacity 40MB and TDP 105W. It is priced at $399, which is $50 cheaper than its launch price 5800 times.

Finally, we also have him Ryzen 5 7600X that supplies 6 cores, 12 threads and Boost Clock up to 5,3 GHz and basic clock at 4,7 GHz. It has total cache capacity 38MB and 105W TDP. His price is $ 299, the same as the starting price of the 5600X.

All four processors also include built-in the Radeon Graphics with 2 graphics cores, GPU frequency at 2200MHz and fundamental frequency at 400MHz.

The new Ryzen 7000 series processors are based on the new AM5 platform of AMD. This new platform starts with a new slotted design LGA 1718 pins capable of providing up to 230 W power on the CPU. But despite the new reception and design IHS, the new AM5 platform is compatible with the CPU brushes designed for the old AM4 Socket.

Speaking of brushes, none of the Ryzen 7000 series processors will ship with the brush in the box.

The AM5 platform brings with it two new motherboard chipsets, the X670 and B650, each also having a extreme edition which offers more connectivity options.

Along with the new platform and chipsets, the processors Ryzen 7000 they will both support the memory DDR5 as well as the PCI Express 5.0. Unlike Intel, however, AMD is going all-in on DDR5, and this means that there will be no DDR4 memory support on the AM5 platform.

The AM5 platform will support the new technology EXPO of the company, which is essentially the issue Intel's XMP from AMD. It's a solution for easy and fast one-click overclocking for memory, and it's what AMD processors will use in the future instead of XMP. By default, Ryzen 7000 processors support memory speeds of up to DDR5 5200 MHz, but higher speeds can be enabled using the function EXPO.

One of the most impressive aspects of the AM4 platform has been its longevity. AMD promises platform support until 2025+ for the new AM5 platform, and that means you'll be able to expect current AM5 motherboards to be supported at least until 2025.

Ryzen 7000 series processors are based on the new architecture AMD Zen 4 which is based on the latest production process in 5nm by TSMC, and AMD promises vs 13% average improvement in IPC over the previous Zen 3 generation, with clock speeds of up to 5,7 GHz and up to 29% overall gain on Single Thread.

When it comes to performance, the company promises 62% lower energy consumption for the same performance and 49% more performance for the same power compared to the Ryzen 5000 series.

In summary, the specifications and prices are as follows:
