Η AMD launches new series of graphics cards RX 5500, emphasizing the general public of gamers who play in resolutions up to 1080p, but want to taste the best possible experience even in AAA game titles.
In particular, the new ones Radeon RX 5500 and Radeon RX5500M, promise high performance in 1080p resolution while the RDNA architecture allows 1,6X higher performance per Watt, always compared to the previous midrange and latest GCN card of the company, the AMD Radeon RX 480.
The Radeon 5500 series is based on TSMC 7nm chip and includes 1408 Stream Processors in a total of 22 Compute Units and 6.4 billion transistors.
The desktop version will be available with up to 8GB of GDDR6 memory such as RX5700 Series which were released in the summer, while in terms of its timing it will have Game Clock at 1717MHz and Boost Clock up to 1845MHz. The laptop version is equipped with 4GB of memory with 1448MHz and 1645MHz clocks in Game and Boost Clock respectively.
Its theoretical performance is measured at 5.2 TFLOPs.
