The name change from Wind to “Nova” will mark the completion of the merger by the end of the year
Η Nova and Wind Hellas, members of United Group, the leading telecommunications and media provider in Southeast Europe, decided to give the name Nova to the new corporate entity that will result upon the completion of the merger of the two companies.
The technically and operationally demanding merger project is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Having already been consolidated under a common management team, the implementation of the merger continues as originally planned.
Upon completion of the merger the new corporate entity, under the name Nova, will be the second largest provider of fixed and subscription television in Greece, as well as a leading force in the further development of the telecommunications sector and the digital transformation of the country. The new era for Nova will culminate through an investment plan of height 1,3 billion euros within the next few years. The investment program includes the extension of the fiber optic network to the home (Fiber to the Home) and nationwide coverage of the 5G network.
The "Nova” combining the experience and knowledge of the market of the two companies, with its know-how United Group and with a completely customer-centric philosophy, will offer innovative services and products.
The "Nova” will act as a catalyst in fixed and mobile telephony, will upgrade the television experience of its customers through its content EON – the leading pay-TV platform in South East Europe, while providing subscribers with exclusive “season ticket» for all her matches Premier League, for the next ones 6 seasons.
