The foldable smartphone of Samsung is (Somehow) here, as the company presented at the San Francisco and Samsung Developers Conference one prototype of a device (hidden in a bulky case), emphasizing, of course, Infinity Flex Display that incorporates.
The proposal we saw consists of an AMOLED panel that folds without breaking, as it is flexible. It has an external screen (cover display) 4,6 inches used when the device is closed, however, when it unfolds, the large internal screen is revealed(main display) which, in essence, turns it into a 7,3-inch. tablet and allows the user to utilize many more applications and features.
The transition from one screen to another is smooth (continuing the user to see what he saw on the screen), thanks to a new interface with many new features, among them the ability to even enjoy up to three applications simultaneously (in something called Multi-Active Window).
Of course what is required in this case are endurance of flexible of this screen, something for which guaranteed by Samsung, which notes that it can be opened and closed hundreds of thousands of times without suffering the slightest.
Η mass production of Samsung foldable smartphone will launch in the coming months, while the company will also provide an emulator SDK so that developers can test applications to work flawlessly on new proposals.
